I help couples get on the same page, hash out the details of what really matters, and create a marriage that lasts a lifetime.
Marriage is one of the most important and sacred commitments a couple can make. Yet, in today’s world, relationships face constant challenges, and too many couples struggle without the tools they need to build a lasting, fulfilling marriage.
My mission is simple: To build strong families, one marriage at a time.
With divorce rates too high for comfort and relationship foundations built on sand, I’m here to disrupt the current narrative and bring back the timeless principles that make a marriage last. Whether you are ready to start dating intentionally, engaged and preparing for marriage, or a few years into marriage navigating life with kids, I’m here to help you face the challenges of this season with clarity and confidence.
With a doctorate in clinical psychology and a deep passion for strengthening marriages, I founded Sacred Vow to help couples create a strong, lasting foundation. I believe that when a marriage is rooted in faith, commitment, and intentional growth, it can withstand the seasons of life and flourish.
Through intentional coaching and deep-dive marriage intensives, I help couples cut through the noise and focus on what truly matters—building a marriage that can stand the test of time. Relationships aren’t meant to be left to chance. They require purpose, effort, and the right guidance.
Marriage isn’t just about making it work—it’s about making it thrive. If you’re ready to strengthen your relationship and create something lasting, I’d be honored to walk alongside you on this journey.
"My husband and I sought out Dr. Lis after some years and children together. Though we had expected that our relationship now would not be the same as when we met, we did not expect that it would be so different and challenging. Patricia helped us navigate the changes, streamlining our expectations in regards to ourselves, of each other but also of our relationship. We learned to communicate better with each other; directly and with intent. This is not an overnight process, but we were definitely provided with the tools to start growing together on our own again. We look forward to follow up intensives."

"I am not a therapy man and came into this with skepticism and strong coaxing from my wife. I did not expect to enjoy it. I did not expect to discover what I discovered about myself but also her. Life happens so quickly and I lost vision at some point of what was truly important to me and what my role as husband and father were. Patricia helped me rediscover true love, true commitment and what true happiness means to me. I am excited to strengthen not only our marriage but our family unit. And I hope to stay true to this path when raising my children."

What makes Sacred Vow different from traditional marriage counseling?

Sacred Vow is a faith-based coaching approach that focuses on proactive relationship building rather than therapy. While traditional counseling often addresses past wounds and mental health concerns, my coaching is designed to help couples strengthen their foundation, improve communication, and develop practical tools for a thriving marriage.

Do we have to be Catholic to work with you?

Faith is at the heart of my coaching, but I welcome couples at different places in their journey. While I come from a Catholic background, you don’t have to be deeply religious—just open to learning and growing together. My coaching is rooted in time-tested principles of faith, wisdom, and commitment, guiding couples toward a strong, lasting relationship built on trust, shared values, and God’s design for marriage.

What happens during a marriage intensive?

Marriage intensives are deep-dive sessions designed to help couples work through key relationship topics in a structured and intentional way. Depending on whether you choose a half-day, full-day, or retreat-style intensive, we’ll cover areas such as communication, conflict resolution, shared values, and future planning—using faith-based principles and research-backed relationship strategies. When appropriate, we also incorporate relationship assessments to provide deeper insights into your dynamics and help guide our discussions in a meaningful, personalized way.

Can we work with you if we’re not engaged or married yet?

Absolutely! Sacred Vow works with couples from the seriously dating stage through the first 5–10 years of marriage. The goal is to equip you with the tools to build a strong, lasting partnership. Pre-engaged and engaged couples often benefit from this work to lay a strong foundation before the wedding.

What if we are struggling with serious conflict?

If your situation involves abuse, addiction, or untreated mental illness, I will refer you to appropriate professional services. Coaching is not a substitute for therapy or crisis intervention.

Do you work with divorced couples?

Yes — if you can provide documentation that your previous marriage(s) have been annulled by the Catholic Church and that you are free to marry in the eyes of the Church. Sacred Vow is a faith-rooted coaching practice and upholds Catholic teaching in all services offered.

Do you offer virtual coaching, or is it in person?

I offer both virtual and in-person coaching, depending on what works best for you. Marriage intensives can be done virtually or in person, but retreat-style intensives are most beneficial when experienced in person at a different location, such as an Airbnb or retreat center. These retreats provide a focused environment away from daily distractions, allowing couples to fully immerse themselves in the experience. For now, in-person retreats are offered in my location, but I plan to offer them in different areas in the future.

Can anyone take a course or join a workshop?

Yes! Anyone can purchase a course, but it's important to know that all content is presented from a Christian perspective, with faith-based principles woven throughout. My goal is to offer guidance and practical tools that can benefit any couple looking to build a strong, lasting relationship.
Workshops, on the other hand, may have prerequisites or be tailored to specific relationship stages, such as engaged couples or newlyweds. Be sure to check the details of each workshop to find the best fit for you!
